Water Empire uses standard Roblox controls for movement, with tycoon-specific UI for building, upgrading, and selling. This guide maps every input and HUD element so you never miss a sell button or market indicator — on PC, mobile, or Xbox.
Verified Platform support: PC, mobile (iOS/Android), tablet, and Xbox via the Roblox app. Max 8 players per server with independent bases.
PC Controls
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Move | W A S D or Arrow Keys |
| Jump | Spacebar |
| Look / Camera | Hold Right Mouse Button + Move Mouse |
| Zoom | Mouse Scroll Wheel |
| Interact / Select | Left Mouse Click |
| Place Building | Click valid spot after selecting from build menu |
| Shift Lock (optional) | Shift — if enabled in Roblox settings |
Mobile Controls

| Look / Camera | Swipe on right side of screen |
| Jump | Jump button (right side) |
| Interact / Select | Tap objects or UI buttons |

Mobile-Specific Tips
- Pinch to zoom when placing pumps — small bases get crowded on phone screens.
- Rotate camera before building — confirm placement slot before spending cash.
- Market trend UI is harder to read on small screens — check it before every sell, not just when tanks fill.
- Use landscape orientation if your device supports it — more HUD visibility.
- Disable Roblox chat overlay during build sessions if it blocks shop buttons.
Xbox / Gamepad Controls
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Move | Left stick |
| Camera | Right stick |
| Jump | A button |
| Interact / Select | X or A (context-dependent) |
| Roblox Menu | Menu / View button |
Build menu navigation on Xbox uses the same shop UI as PC — select items with the on-screen cursor Roblox provides for tycoon games.
Session Workflow — What to Click Each Visit
- Login → check storage meter and market trend immediately.
- If trend is high → tap Sell, then open build menu to reinvest.
- If trend is low → open build menu only if upgrading storage; otherwise let pumps fill.
- Every 3–5 minutes → glance at trend arrow direction, not just current price.
- Before logout → sell at peak OR leave 30%+ tank headroom for AFK pumping.
Main UI Elements
When you spawn into Water Empire, you'll see several persistent UI elements. Here's what each one does:
💵 Cash Display
Shows your current money balance. Increases when you sell water. Spend it on pumps, storage upgrades, technology, and base expansion. Unspent cash doesn't grow — reinvest it.
🛢️ Storage Meter
Indicates how full your water storage tanks are. When this approaches 100%, you either need to sell or upgrade storage. A full tank with active pumps means wasted production.
📈 Market Trend Indicator
The most important UI element for maximizing income. Shows whether water prices are currently low, stable, or high. Always check this before selling. See our Market Trends guide for strategy.
🔧 Build / Shop Menu
Access point for purchasing and placing pumps, upgrading storage tanks, unlocking technology, and expanding your base. Open this menu whenever you have cash to reinvest after a sell.
💧 Sell Button
Converts stored water into cash at the current market price. The amount you receive depends on how much water is stored and the current market trend multiplier. Do not spam this button — timing matters.
Building & Placement
- Open the build/shop menu from the UI.
- Select the item you want (pump, tank upgrade, etc.).
- Click or tap a valid placement location at your base.
- Confirm the purchase — cash is deducted immediately.
- The item begins functioning automatically (pumps start extracting, upgrades apply instantly).
💡 Placement tip: Keep pumps grouped near storage connections for a cleaner base layout. As you expand, organized layouts make it easier to spot which pumps need upgrading next.
Upgrade Interface
Upgrades in Water Empire typically work through the same build menu:
- Pump upgrades — select an existing pump or buy a new tier from the shop.
- Storage upgrades — increase tank capacity through the storage section.
- Technology — unlock new branches from the tech tree when you meet cash/level requirements.
- Base expansion — purchase plot extensions when you've outgrown your current area.
Troubleshooting UI Issues
| Problem | Likely Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Can't place pump | Invalid spot or max slots reached | Move to marked build zone; expand base if full |
| Build menu won't open | UI overlap on mobile | Rotate device, zoom camera out, rejoin server |
| Sell button greyed out | Empty storage | Wait for pumps to fill tanks first |
| Market trend not visible | HUD off-screen on mobile | Adjust camera angle; check edges of screen |
| Purchase didn't apply | Insufficient cash or lag | Reopen shop; verify cash balance updated |
| Progress seems lost | Wrong Roblox account | Confirm logged into same account as last session |
Codes Button (Not Available Yet)
Water Empire does not currently have a code redemption button. When Get Win adds codes, look for:
- A "Codes" button on the side of the screen, or
- A gear/settings icon → Codes tab, or
- A Twitter/bird icon commonly used in Roblox tycoons
We'll update our Codes page with exact redemption steps when the feature launches.
Roblox System Controls
These are standard Roblox platform controls that also work in Water Empire:
| Open Roblox Menu | Esc (PC) or Roblox icon (mobile) |
|---|---|
| Reset Character | Roblox menu → Reset (rarely needed) |
| Leave Game | Roblox menu → Leave |
| Chat | / key (PC) or chat icon (mobile) |
